SEO or Search Engine Optimization is not an easy field to specialize in and my experience shows that this is true because I have been an SEO Consultant in Cebu, Philippines for almost 3 years now. We need to understand the basic theories and real time applications of SEO. Being an SEO Consultant may not be easy but it can be so much fun.


So far, I have led trainings for 2 groups of Virtual Assistants together with my training partner, Mark Acsay. This year, we are getting ready for  another SEO VA Training to teach and share our SEO skills with others. The way I see it, keyword research is something every SEO Consultant should master. After all, it is the foundation of every SEO campaign.

The most commonly used keyword research tool is Google Keyword Tool. This provides the most accurate results and offers the most useful keyword suggestions to optimize your website. When doing your keyword research, always follow these 4 golden keyword criteria: high search volume; commercial intent; stable or rising trend; and weak competition. You can’t go wrong if you follow these golden rules.

Another important part of SEO is Content Creation or content writing. SEO Content Writing is vital to all SEO campaigns because this is how you attract visitors to your websites and keep them interested. This is why every SEO Consultant must have a team of skilled SEO Content Writers working with him or her. Attracting visitors to any given website is easy but keeping their attention, getting them to click on your links and explore your websites further gives you more opportunities to turn these visitors or leads into paying customers.

SEO Content Writing is where you need to use keywords to write and contribute valuable content. The more keywords you have, the more topics you can write about. And even if your keywords are very few, doing your keyword research can help you write excellent SEO Content, whether for websites, blogs or article directories. In order to attract more visitors to your website, you should deliver high quality, valuable content every single time.
